Need help with this. Unfortunately I have a terrible professor and his notes are just copies of equations from books. I'd like to understand how to do this, but I really have no idea where to begin. I'veused Google and did research about buck converters, but all the sites are giving me how to design a practical one and I think I'm doing too much work for what the problem is asking. Really just need someone to point me in the right direction. Any help provided is much appreciated.

It is desired to have a buck converter to output 5 VDC at 4 to 6 A with 1% ripple from a source that varies between 10 and 14 VDC with a PWM switching frequency of 20 KHz.
1. Design a buck converter that operates in the continuous conduction mode (CCM). Use MATLAB to simulate your design.
2. Design a buck converter that operates in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). Use MATLAB to simulate your design.
3. Compare the two designs and comment on the results.
