    Hello,

I have read a lot of posts searching for "buck converter".
I am looking for an "off the shelf" easy circuit.
Is it possible at these ratings or I need to start from scratch?

Max input Vin will be 55 Volt when solar battery pack is fully charged.

    Thanks a lot,
    Horacio

Maybe you can refer to the LM2576 for HV adjustable version.

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for all answers.
I mean "easy" as solder a specialised IC chip (as you have pointed me to) with a few discrete external components.
I am ready to play with the ICs you have mentionned.
Thanks also for the Ebay solution !
    I will buy a couple !
When you see the prices of this kind of toys I cant believe it.

One minute of our time is far beyond !

    Thanks again,
    Horacio

Yeah, not just the prices-I find it hard to believe that so many of my components, have Free Shipping.

They must make a profit only by bulk sales.

Conclusion is, the ic on the ebay ones is a counterfeit china clone, not a genuine part.
