Hi,
I am trying to fix a hood hair dryer that has stopped working.
The symptoms are:
-The dryer is getting power as it lights up and the heating element works.
-The dryer makes a noise when turned on but motor doesn't turn (almost goes to turn slightly but then stops)
-I have attempted to test the capacitor (its a CBB61 1.5uf 500v AC 50/60Hz) it seems to work when I have tested it according to a you tube video on testing capacitors, but just because it isn't working at all doesn't mean its in fully working condition I assume.
-I have dismantled the motor and it doesn't look at all worn, the unit is only 6 months old and shouldn't be worn at all.
I have a multimeter and a mediocre knowledge of electronics can anyone make any suggestions into what I should check next?
