What do you mean by "automatic"? Clock? When motion is detected? When the ambient light changes? When electric rates change?

And what do you mean by "brightness"? Off or on, or something in between?

This can be done by using PWM with LDR ....(with uC)

for example if the room is dark so light will automatically bright...

Yes, most of us understand that concept -light dimmers in other words.

What kind of automatic control to you imagine using?

What kind of lights do you want to control?

What do you want to control the lights?
    - Constant illumination level
    - Energy saving by turning off when not needed
    - Time of Day?

    I absolutely don't.

You need to specify exactly what you want, just as if you were writing the computer program to control the light. Imagine a person as your employee controlling the light. What would you tell him to do?

If you want the light to come on when the room goes dark, it will stay on forever after that, since it will never be dark again until the bulb burns out.

You said you want something between on or off - a dimmer. How would your light-controlling employee decide how to dim the lights properly?
