Hi guys,
ok
,
i'm
a bit new to this so be patient :D

well, i am going to be using this battery, an
ultrafire
3.7v 2200
mah
battery (18650) and i need to boost the voltage up to 5v

I have been looking at boost converters, and sifting through posts to see if i could figure out how to do it through that....i couldn't!

If a kind soul would be willing to help out a
nooby
that wants to learn i would be very appreciative!

What i need is a parts list of what i would need, and how i would connect it all together, or even someone to tell me if this is even possible!

Also, the battery is rated at 2200
mah
, i assume by boosting it the battery wouldn't last as long, could you tell me how much battery life i would be loosing?

Thanks
alot
, any help would be great

(please remember, i a newbie!(but a quick learner)

Cheers

Fred

Actually I was asking what is the current that you expect the load to require. Your battery is capable of 3.7V at 2.2 Amps. That would mean that under ideal conditions with 80% efficient boost SMPS (Switch-Mode Power Supply), you would be able to deliver about 5V at 1.3 Amps to your load. Is that enough current for your load?
