i've need some opinion over here
is it posibble to boost a 0.5V to 5V ?
through boost circuit
my homework was to build a portable movement charger
where i'll move my motor via gears and generate electricity from it
i able to generate around 0.5V from my toy car motor.
i need around 4.6v to 5v and current 0.3A to charge my mobile phone

and one more thing , any good boost circuit to introduce me ?
so far , i still researching with my text book
trying to simulate one

Possible yes, practical, probably not.

One of the problems is the 10X increase in current. ½V isn't enough for most semiconductors either.

 

i found a circuit that claim it able to boost
0.7v to 5 v
