    Hi everyone,,

I would like to gather some information regarding boilers and turbines used in industries.

    1. What is their basic purpose??
    2. What are the basic components of them?? ( any diagram will be better)
    3. Do they have certain parameters that can be controlled using PLCs or DCS system?

    Thank you

    1. boilers: to create steam. turbines: to turn compressed gas energy into rotational energy
    2. Boilers: tank, fire tubes. Turbines: blades, shaft, enclosure
    3. Yes. The boilers and turbines sold today can be very complex and very automated, controlled entirely by PLCs. parameters like pressure, temperature, flow, etc.
