I recently finished a lab that was two CE amplifiers coupled with a capacitor. Both of the CE amps had the same values of resistors but the ouput of CE #2 of course had a load resistor. My lab asked me to measure Vout of the first amp with the load in CE amp2. Then it asked me to measure Vout of the first amp again but this time with the load removed from amp 2. I measured the same voltage Peak to Peak with the load in or out which tells me that amp1 is isolated from amp 2. The question I have is why did vout of amp1 not get affected by adding or removing the load in amp2?

 

Can you post a schematic of your cascaded CE showing the values of the components used?
