Better indication a thread is locked

    There needs to be a better indication a thread is locked. Unless I see the very small text at the top or no reply button there is no reply button, it is difficult to know a thread is locked. Newbies might not recognize the fact that no reply button could mean thread is locked.

    The point of locking a thread is so that no more posts can be made to it. If that option no longer exists, then I guess I don't see the problem....?

    My point is you might not be aware the reason you can't reply. Especially if you are not a regular user of the site.

    Hmm, I see. Perhaps a red stripe across the top of the page saying "This thread is locked and is not open to further replies", rather than a little bit of text at the bottom of the page? Something to warn the reader ahead of time.
