What is the best understood way to describe a complex circuit boards
operation ?
Analog and Digital Hardware, No Software.

Do you describe by :
(1) Top Level and Second Level Block Diagrams
(2) State Diagram
(3) Written description (ie.) "U4 goes to + saturatioin turning on Q2 ,etc."
(4) Timing Diagram
(5) Truth Table
(6) Input Output levels / measurements of each major component
(7) I/O Signal measurements / states

The recipient of this description, for the circuit board here, would have some very basic Electricity and Electronic knowledge.
