This might be a warning too late for you.

DO NOT click on the link posted by djohnb if you are working or ever worked on equipment in a high voltage environment. It will no doubt ruin your day.

It shows a stupid person raising his hand to touch a HV line on top of a train carriage and get killed instantly. Still burning as he fell. Really horrible to watch. :(

The answer to djohnb's question:

No. It would require very thick and good electrical insulation many many times the thickness than that of a rubber shoe can provide.

Here is a guy who is THAT confident in his knowledge of electricity. You wanna be like him before messing with high voltage stuff. ;)







Gotta love Tesla. He is one of my favorite people of all time. Him and Einstein. And not only for their intelligence.
