I have posted this before but worth posting again. It does not do anything but it sure is beautiful. I took the picture on a bicycle tour of southern Austria / Northern Italy.

I been debating making a propeller clock lately. Full RGB. I need one and its practical. Could put an alarm on it too that would work great.

Why is it crazy you ask? Well look at all those wires. And its made entirely out of boolean logic gates and flip flops. There is no micro-controller. I have been meaning to post my schematics here for a while but never have the time.

This was my first ever electronics project. Since then my soldering has improved and I discovered the magic of heat shrink and many other useful things.

Be sure it's gonna be far from your bedroom. A spinning motor isn't exactly a silent device.

 

No electronics. You will need a lot of people properly coordinated to implement one like this.
