I know this is a bit late but here's what I did based on your responses to my question http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/showthread.php?p=720837
Added a 0.01uf ceramic cap between the power supply pins of the mcu
Added a 0.01uf ceramic cap between reset and ground pins
Added a 0.01uf ceramic cap between INT2 and gnd pins
These modifications seems to have only partially solved the issue
The Reset now wont occur for a AC switch click sparks but still occurs for strong sparks like say If I insert the mains lead of a appliance into the wall socket while the switch for wall socket is on then the result is a hanged or resetted mcu
what more should I do to reduce the problem to zero resets?
