average power

    The voltage across an element is v(t)=5sin(2πt) V. Use graphing software to graph instantaneous power absorbed by the element, and determine the average power if the current, using passive sign convention, is
    (a) i(t) = 3sin(2πt) A
    (b) i(t) = 2sin(4πt) A


    At the moment, I don't know how to graph the instantaneous power so I calculate the average power first.
    (a) in this case, v(t) and i(t) have the same ω = 2π, so I can determine the period of the average power, T = 1s, and so P=7.092W
    (b) but in this case, how the period of the average power can be determined?
