i happened to take interest in automobile battery charging, that is done by alternator, then converting the signals into dc form.. etc.
can anyone tel me the details how the voltage regulator, the current regulator, the cut off works?
how does the alternator produces initially 60 ampre current immediately after cranking the engine, then lower down to approx. 1 to 2 amp ? how does the needle of the ammeter in vehicle get deflected towards negative values, when the battery current is used up , ? does anyone have a circuit diagram of the same?
