Atmega8 thermostat

    i need a thermostat circuit with atmega8+lm35+seven segment dispaly..
    for my chicken incubator..now i am using a thermostat with a simple op amp circuit..i am not an expert in writing programs
    can any help me or suggest me a link..

    Any particular reason why you chose ATmega8?

    no particular reason..i am having a usbasp programmer..so avr micro controller is preferred

    You say you are not an expert at writing programs.
    What programs for what mcu have you written before?
    All mcu programmers today use a usb programmer.
    This is not the criteria for selecting an mcu.

    i had written simple programs like led blinking..on bascom avr..i am having the programmer usbasp by using this i can program only some certain type of avr only

    I'm trying to gather how much experience you have with programming an mcu.
    So far, I think you would be better off using an arduino.

    I think you should work on getting the individual parts working, then combine them to create your project. First, get your seven-segment display(SSD) working, then the ADC and display using the SSD to verify, then it's a small amount of work to put it all together...

    i am planing to built more number of chicken incubator..and using arduino for each of them will increase the cost..
    and finally i got a atmega8 mcu thermostat

    Wow, that looks like your exact setup! It's rare to find such a closely related project. Though I don't think they are using the LM35, but that won't make much of a difference...
