We are looking for a dual mole Bluetooth IC that will make it possible to interface to a ARM CPU without having to do too much C code to implement the logic for pairing and enable communication. We consider Dual Mode to cover older Bluetooth standard and the newer. We have also others electronics to add for the measurement function. Something like a UART interface can be the way to go I2C or SPI also. It's not clear what is the best IC to do that and some have now their own MPU. Many available:panasonic, Bluebridge, Stollmann Bluemod, connectBlue,...) The system will be use on a mobile acquisition (some measurement data to transfer) that will communicate with some PDA running Windows Windows Mobile 6.1/6.5. Not a big issue to do the C code for the PDA side of the Bluetooth communication. Can you comments on what we need to implement in the software side (ARM C code) for pairing and some data exchange and what is the best Bluetooth IC ? Any similar project or experience to share...

    Thank you !

Even though i am facing problem with LMX9838, however, you may consider this chip or u can use RN41 chip module for your application
