This may seem to be a very basic, stupid question, but I've read datasheets referring to those devices (at least the ones from Fairchild and On), and it only refers those as ultrafast diodes (i can't find any info that confirms them as Schottky diodes). They seem to have a reverse voltage that is too big for a regular Schottky diode. But since I'm writing an article about Schottky rectifiers, I must be certain, so I can include them or exclude them from the article.

Thanks! What is the main aspect on this ultra fast technology? Do they use a PN junction like normal diodes?
