Anyone know where I can obtain a Solenoid Valve?

Has to be 12VDC, 1/4" diameter, 2 port.

I've had search through Google for a while, i've checked RS and Farnell to no avail. Only option I have is to ship one from China which will take a while. Any one know where I purchase one from, preferably a UK supplier?

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked for lawn sprinkler solenoid valves? Not certain offhand what voltage they operate on over there, but here in the States they're low voltage. You could use reducer fittings to get down to 1/4".

also sounds like something you might get in automotive- fuel shut off valve or something, probably cost a fortune though

That's an idea, Tibbles.

I don't have any experience with commercial diesel trucks, but we have a retired military 5-ton truck that has a fuel cutoff solenoid. The fuel injection pump is mechanically driven, so the only way to turn the engine off is by cutting power to the fuel cutoff solenoid.
