I've looked on Google for Cocoa programming forums and most appear to be inactive or dead (anyone know any good ones RSVP).
I'd like to write an OSX application that displays a tiny colored icon in the Menus Extra area (the clock) but seems this is frowned upon by Apple.
Dropbox uses this technique and the icon changes color based on its status. Any pointer on how they do this would be welcome.
