Hi,

with reference to this thread:

Powersupply for Raspberry Pi

That powersupply work with the RPi, but now I want to make a better one. Meaning there is nbo rushm and I have better time.

I got a few LM338, and reading the datasheet, I got this schematic:

Rpi_sch_v1.png

Would this work?

If I read the formula right, a 470 ohm pot would be much better, that should give adjustment up to over 6V, make sure you have enough heatsinking to dissipate 7W for the model B pi, or 14W for the B+.
Maybe better still is to use a 330 ohm fixed resistor and a 100 ohm pot in series, better adjustment and probably more stable.
