    How about Disney Land and their rides? Kid's Pizza places (Chucky Cheese comes to mind)?

    I heard on another board that in Japan there are animatronic female companions. Now there's a challenge and a half, especially if the idea of a Stepford Wife appeals to you.

    Aren't there artificial pets? Robot dogs and such? We have a battery operated carp to swim in the tub with the grandkid.

    I saw the You Tube of that robot. That was CREEPY!

    The Disney Company was a pioneer in animatronics. My first exposure to their work was at the 1964 Worlds' Fair in New York City in the General Electric pavilion. Photos during that time are available here:

    At that same Worlds' Fair was the "It's a Small World" ride; a colossal feat for the time with the huge number of animatron doll figures. It's still hugely popular even 45 years later.

    You got that right. I don't know which was creepier, that robot or Natasha Henstridge in the "Species" trilogy. At least I think the robot may not have to kill me if it likes me.
