hi guys, can some one tell me how to use a ADC0804 for a simple analog to digital conversion with 8 LED's to determine the output, i have read the data sheet over and over again but i still cant figure out how to do this, i do not want to program it or use it with another controller.someone please help.it

 

Here is how I connected my ADC0804

Pins 11 to 18 are outputs connected to LEDs

If you search in the datasheet for "FIGURE 18. BASIC TESTER FOR THE A/D", it's about the same thing as I did.

I don't remember exactly, I used this a while ago, but I think "Yes"...

Now I'm playing around with chips that much more performant, like AD9059
