For P = 3W across 3ohm's resistor we need VLoad_RMS = √(P*RL) = √(3W*3Ω) = 3V RMS ---> 4.23V peak----> 8.46V peak- to peak.
And if gain is 8 V/V we get this voltage for Vin = 3V/8 = 0.375V RMS---->0.53Vpeak

@Merk Morondos is pretty insistent on using that 2.66 ohm load.

@Jony130 I still think Merk wants us to design a circuit that meets his needs.

I'm waiting for him to start with some basic calculations and decisions on his assignment as specified in post 13

First question the specs are:
Gain of 8
0.5 Vrms
2 Watts
Any value of load
9 Vcc
no clipping

Second question specs
Gain of 8
1 Vrms
3 Watts
Any value of load
12 Vcc
no clipping
