Apparently my Thandar TG-401 programmable function generator is rarer than rocking horse ****. Anyone else on here have one?

Apparently you have the only one ever made. A Google search comes up with nothing.

 

I'm just shocked it's so rare, it really is a good unit and not lacking any features.

 

I zoomed in on the photo and I could not see any label that identified the unit as being made by Thandar. How can you tell it is a Thandar?

I also went to the Thandar website and none of the function generators shown appeared to be similar in packaging. Most companies tend to adopt a signature style to their equipment packages as part of their Corporate Image.

Sorry for the lousy pic (taken on phone). When I emailed thurlby Thandar, they said the one i had (serial number) was a sales demonstrator, but the guy was unsure how many were built.

 

on the back of the unit is a GPIB connector, various sync sockets, AM connector, etc.

 

Is it possible that this unit is from one of their earlier equipment lines that has since been discontinued?

It appears to be in mint condition. You should get a ton of use out of it.
