It's not the beginning of the end, but only because that beginning took place a long time ago. The list of things that computers do better than humans gets longer every day. It's probably growing exponentially, not linearly. When an AI can share its accumulated learning with another AI, we'd better be prepared.... hopefully this is not the beginning of the end for humans.
