Alarm Circuit using SN74LS174

    Hi to all,

    Can you help me to analyze the attached file (second page)?
    I have a confusion of the output of the 555 timer as seen in the attached file.
    What is "OUTCP" correspond for?
    Please relate to the pages of the attached file since they are all connected.
    I will forever be grateful with your urgent response.

    Hi Gilbert,

    In the circuit the OUTCP represents OUTput Clock Pulse. The 555 timer is set to turn on a light (LED drawn in green) for a approximately a second every second through the clock pulse or turn on the sound generator drawn on p.3.

    can you explain why is there a need for the Sn74LS174 and the 2-input OR gate? I will surely appreciate your answer. thank you.
