I've been designing and repairing air conditioners (full blown state license) for over 40 years, and I don't have a clue which is the best school. In general, there aren't many good air conditioning schools. Air conditioning is generally considered to be a "Trade". Trade schools aren't usually very comprehensive in higher education like calculus and physics. This puts a ceiling on how well they can teach thermodynamics, which is the whole enchilada as far as air conditioners are concerned. Schools that max out the math and physics aren't likely to be spending time and money on practical matters like metal working and brazing. I can't even think of the word for, "laminar and turbulent air flow conditions", but you need them to do air conditioning, too. Bernouli and Venturi are only a starting point for this kind of work.
