    i need address decoder circuit for content addressable memory design.please help me........wat is diff b/w decode and adress decoder

    An address with respect to a device like a ROM or RAm is simply a number that describes a unique location in the IC's address space.

    An address decoder responds to an applied address (still a number on the address bus) and outputs a signal for some one address or range of addresses. You would find an address decoder providing an enable signal for a block of I/O addresses, for instance.
