anyone familiar with xbee? I am currently doing a project using two xbees communicating with each other. i searched a lot and tried many times still don't know how to enable the built-in ADC to make one xbee receive analog signal and transmit the corresponding digital signal to the other xbee? urgent! need help ! thanks in advance!

you will need a microcontroller with each xbee unit

are you sure? originally there is one microcontroller on transmitter and one on receiver. we just want to save the microcontroller on transmitter...

Take a look at O'Reilly's "Making Things Talks". IIRC there was an XBee to XBee application in there. Have you looked for app notes on the MaxStream site?

How else are you going to transmit a serial signal?

The XBee has an embedded microcontroller. IIRC it is an 8051.
