Hey all - I've been scouring the web ISO an Active IR Camera as opposed to a passive crappy one (webcam mod). Haven't been able to find too much on it - has anyone been able to do this - basically I just want to be able to see like Predator and I'll work on the missiles later.

Black & white cameras are best for night vision, less than 0.5 lux (lower is better). I've got a $20 B&W (BgMicro.com) that works great, day or night. Don't even have IR in my backyard, the back alley is very well lit. I've got a $90 day/night camera with IR in my carport. It's B&W at night, built in IR LEDs + I build two IR spotlights. It's grainy, and poor resolution.
