    Hello everyone,

We are working with a circuit that implements a dual supply op amp with 5V as the positive rail and -5V as the negative rail. The circuit also needs a common ground. We have a power supply that only ranges from 0 to 12V. What is the best way for us to acquire the -5V that we desire?

We are using an LM7805 for the 5V, power supply is held at 12V for other uses.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Here's another very good chip to accomplish what you want.
