Hey,

If I am designing a device and need to deliver as much current to it as possible, would I use AC or DC voltage? Thanks.

It depends on the application - and how far it is from the source of power.

It's far easier to carry high voltage at low current than it is to carry high current at low voltage across distances.

AC is relatively simple to convert high voltage, low current sources to low voltage, high current outputs, and vice versa using transformers, which are very efficient, but bulky, heavy and expensive.

DC-DC converters and power inverters are all the rage nowadays, but everything has limits.
