I have a leisure battery that is run by solar panels but in the winter this does not give sufficient energy.
I can have a AC power supply and rather than buying a battery charger I was wonder how complicated it is to convert AC to 14v DC and limit it to 5A. I already have a cut off devise that the solar power is connected to, so as not to over charge the battery.

 

Pretty easy to convert. Just by a small automotive battery charger.
