Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to calculate the saturation current of a AC to DC transformer
in high frequency power supply under secondary overload.
Is there any formulas exist to do such calculation ?

Thank you.

Like an inductor that gets saturated under high current
so it's ferrite core gets saturated.
There is a lot of methods around to calculate it for an inductor.

Usually transformers get saturated under high voltage
but is it possible to calculate saturation for an transformer under high current ?..

Normal transformers don't saturate under high current since the magnetic flux created by the secondary current it counter-balanced by the magnetic flux due to the corresponding primary current.
The saturation point is determined by the input voltage and frequency.
