About analogue multimeter

    Has anyone come across an analogue multimeter with a continuous rheostat rather than individual resistors.

    If you want that you could use the multimeter on its current range with a variable resistor in series.

    Do mean an auto-ranging feature like the better digital meters, but on an analog meter?

    Most people wouldn't want a meter that is so easily de-calibrated.

    They all have a pot on them it zeros the meter on the Ohm scale.
    Most are on the side re[pairs online maybe has a better one that has the knob on the top.
