    What is the difference between FPGA MAX II :EP1270F256C5ES & MAX II :EP1270F256C5 .

    At the bottom of the datasheet, there is ordering code information which tells you that the ES on the end stands for "Engineering Sample" which indicates a chip for beta testing.
