The serenity conferred by such a perspective must be truly phenomenal! --- I envy your maintenance of such abstraction under unthinkable conditions!

Most sincerely

True, but...This quickly gets into the nature of a person. At about 40 years old, I discovered that I am, by nature, a Taoist.

I didn't discover and choose Taoism, I realized I have always been that way. After all, what is science besides studying the nature of things? But let us NOT open a discussion of Religion. If it isn't banned here, it should be.

Rather take this story I made up: Two people walking in a forest in Africa. A lion appears before them. One says, "Lions don't live in the forest." The other says, "I wish you had climbed this tree."

The moral of the story is this: Quickly accepting reality is a survival skill.
Other derivations include, "There ain't no 'why'. It just is."
