    Hello to all of you.

I am in need of some help I would like to hear what starter kit you would recommend for controlling something as simple as some Faller car system for a model railroad.
What I have is some switches and some relays that I have to controlle.
So all I need is a simple chip that can handle some simple inputs and then changes the state of some relays.

I have programmed before lets say more than 10 years ago and lost all my documentation, so I have to start from scratsh.

    Thx in advanced.

    Regards.

Maybe you could look at the PC based solutions? You can get simple PC software that is easy to setup, which plugs into a relay board, controlled by USB.

If you don't want a PC as part of the running setup then you will need to take on the more challenging task of learning to program PIC/AVR/Arduino and make it work in hardware.

If the control rule is fixed, then you can use 8 bits eeprom to input and control output that you needed.

Input pins → 8 bits EeProm → Datas Output → Transistors Driver → Relay

You can also use AT89C2051, it's a tweenty pins MCU, easy program and control it.

    Input pins → AT89C2051 → Datas Output → Transistors Driver → Relay

    AT89C2051 datasheet.

So I was wondering what kind of starter kit there was and that people would recommend.

    Regards
