Hi guys. I need help identifying this transistor please. Also, what do the colour stripes signify?

 

I've found in the past that sticking 2SA in front of either figure may reveal it's identity?

 

'2S' is a J.I.S. (Japanese) designation, and 'A' is reserved only for high-freq PNP BJTs.

The logo stamped on there is National Semiconductor, which I think was a U.S. manufacturer.
