Have you tried doing an internet search? There are lots of 8051 programmer projects out there.

I don't know the price of Amtel programmers but if they are anything like Microchip then it just simply isn't worth building one. Much better to by the original.

Which 8051 are you programming? Some 8051 derivatives like the Atmel AT89C5131 does not need a programmer. The chip has a a USB port which allows almost direct connection to the USB port of your PC. The NXP 89LPC922 can be programmed through the serial port of your PC.

You have to open the package, clean up the debris, and decode the ROM/Flash using a microscope.

Or ask the author if you can pay for the code??

A phenomena from the assembler age. Guard the source like a state secret, and lock the FLASH or ROM memory.

Hackers always trying to find a way inside and sometimes they even succeed.

Using C, a college student can recode it from scratch in 2 days.

I think this should be a forum guideline:

Have you tried a search engine before posting your question and what was the result???

Note this is not asking NOT to post the question, only asking what was the result of the search. Cool eh?

Since they never read the stickys or the TOS why would this have the slightest impact.

Popping up such a window for the first 10 posts would be a helping.

These posts are often unneccessary, or they could be written differently, so people can do more help.
