8/20µS Pulse Generator

Hi,

Is it possible to generate 8/20µS pulse with lower voltage but high current like 1A? I want to test a diode if it can handle 8/20µS pulse with 1A passing thru it. Is it possible and how do I design the circuit about it? thank you for all the help! :)
