    Was given some JK flip flops last weekend, was wondering if anyone had a cool project I could do with them.

    You could create a binary clock, or a timer using a binary counter.

    Binary LED clocks are very cool.

    Amaze your friends.

    It also helps you to practice binary/hex/decimal conversions in your head.

    will do thank you, for my clock I will need to find a 555 timer right?

    ok I'll have to look around for that 74HC4060, looks difficult to understand their design on page 5 but I'll give it a shot.

    It certainly wouldn't be very accurate if I had to do Bin/Hex/Dec in my head to make it work.
    Them is long years buried in the past. I doubt if I could even find my HP's now.
