hi everyone,
the output of 74hc4060 casues a big problem when i use it to drive leds (through 2003). how can i eliminate the ripple, or other way to bring the display under control

Where is your schematic for your circuit?

You apparently have a 74HC4060 connected to LEDs via a ULN2003 somehow, but we don't know what you expect to see.

If there are 'glitches' in the display due to the '4060 not being a synchronous counter internally - well, sorry; you'll need to re-design using synchronous counters.

hello,

thks for your reply, i use a wrong counter. the 74hc4017 is the right 1. but when connect in cascade more than 1 counter, the voltage out put from 4017 drops to 0.5v. so how to keep voltage around 5v as indecated in datasheet .here is the schema
0.1uf (or more) is attached at every ic input power

The 4017 can only have 1 of it's ten D0-D9 (or Q0-Q9) high at a time.

If you are cascading them as shown in certain applications notes, your 1st 4017 will only have nine available outputs, and subsequent 4017's will only have eight outputs available.

Take a look at page 15 of this datasheet: http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/74HC_HCT4017.pdf

You need to post your schematic so that we can figure out where things are going wrong.
