I'm doing an assignment, comparing the 7400 series and 4000 series. I'm comparing the 74HC family against the 4000 series. I just want your help for some background information regarding the assignment.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of these five characteristics just generally.

Frequency - High Frequency
Power Consumption - low and high
Inputs - connected and unconnected
Outputs
Fan out - advantage and disadvantage of having many inputs powered by one output
