    Hello!
I'm new to this forum & electronics.
I plan to create a counter using 555 timer. I intend to use 4026 which has a BCD counter & lcd driver. I am using a common Anode display with a decimal dot.

could you please help me with this & let me know if I can use the 4026 with the display. If not, which other IC can I use?

    Thanks.
    :)

The device is active low, so it will work with common anode displays. Get the data sheet to see the functions.

    Thanks for that information, Beenthere.
also i woukld like to know if single resistor of 470 ohms is sufficient connected to the anode, or if indivisual segments need to have indivisual resistors?
    thanks

It is necessary to use resistors for each segment.
