68hc11 LCD

I have an Lumex LCD interfaced to a 68hc11 microcontroller. In need to initialize the lcd to be 2 lines, 16 characters in each line..(16x2).

The first line would have to contain a randomly generated ASCII characters. those characters shoud scroll from left to right. I need an example of the assembly code that does that.

Your help is much appreciated
