There are several voltage regulators that will do precision 5V, but being voltage regulators you will need to input around 8V so they can bring it down in a precision sort of way. I remember your other thread, Precision 5V reference. It is possible to boost a 5V power supply several different ways and then regulate it down, but it would have low current capacity.
