    Hi All,

I am trying to replace the existing Halogen bulb of my Motorbike with a Xenon HID.

My bike had an initial coil of 35W which I upgraded to 55W.

Now the problem is I get only about 7V 2.5 Amps while idling which is no way near to the rating of 35W HID Xenons so I would like to know how I can achieve the 12V 5A constant output from my coil even at idling.

The input voltage ranges from 7V all the way to 16V while revving the engine.

I hope I have explained the scenario well... all help will be appreciated :)

And one more option driving the Xenon bulbs directly from the battery is not an option as the bulb had killed my battery 2 times now.

    Thanks again.

Hey you devil. Did you read the Terms of Service at the bottom of the page.
Sorry, modifying the wiring on a bike still qualifies as an automotive modification.
