5ns pulse generator

    hi i'm also working on pulse generators.i want to built it using solid state relays and mercury wetted relay. i'm looking for a fet which is rated for 500v,5Amp, rise and fall times below 5ns. does anyone have an idea about which fet suits my application and also i want to know the driver details.

    I think you are going to have a problem with those specifications. The 5 ns. is especially problematic since you have to work against a large gate capacitance. How fast do you think you can charge and discharge say 4000 pf. which is a typical gate capacitance?
